That Time I Asked a Stranger 86 Questions About Their Dog

Hi! How are you? I’m either super GREAT or super BAD today. Okay not really, I’m just the usual. But today was full of ups and a slight down so I’m sharing the highs and lows…

First let’s talk about last night. I was watching RHOC and tweeting (and eating a snack and checking email). The OC Housewives were in Ireland and Tamra is doing a fitness competition so she asked where the hotel gym was right away. Shannon said, “She wants to know where the gym is, I want to know where the bar is…”

And I had to let her know she was my spirit animal so I tweeted at her and she replied!!! GREAT!!

Last night Ben showed up with a lot of Chinese food. He has no idea how much to order but that means more for me!! GREAT!!

This morning I hit the road for my first run since the Long Beach Marathon. I took Monday off and don’t feel sore so I did 6 miles to shake it out and see how I’m recovering. It felt good! GREAT!!

The weather is perfection for running in the morning! God bless SoCal.

Then I headed home to get ready for my day. I used my hot rollers to do my hair super fast, threw on some make-up and some comfy clothes. I am super happy with how the rollers curl my hair with zero effort – now I just gotta figure out how to make it stay. GREAT!!

The one not-so-great part of my day was my follow up doctor appointment.

The hypochondriac in me usually loves to go to the doctor and ask her 22 questions about anything and everything I think might be the slightest bit ‘off’ with me. But gyno appointments aren’t exactly on my list of top 50 fun things to do when you’re bored. (I won’t know anything for about a week or two.)

I’m taking Vitamin C and folic acid to help fight off any bad cells hanging around. I am all about using doctors / conventional medicine AND natural options like supplements and food to get healthy.

But the day turned out pretty GREAT because a little after I sat down in the doctor’s waiting room a couple walked in with a guide dog, Fremont. He and I became bffs immediately. I spent the entire rest of the time waiting falling in love with him and asking the couple 101 questions about him.

Seriously, now that I think about it – I am weird.

I asked about how he was as a puppy, who named him, why he was named that, if they have other pets at home, his age, how kids like him, what people ask, if he’s ever been on a plane… and more!

i made a new friend (450x800)

(For those that don’t know Fremont is a city in California near San Francisco so I wondered if they were from there.)

I did ask if I could take a picture of him, but at least I stopped before full on getting on the ground and taking a selfie with him. I considered it though.

I have always always alllllways loved labs. And I have thought about fostering a guide dog in the past. It would be hard to let them go when it’s time to find a forever home for them, but it’s such a good thing and they’re such good dogs. Anyway. Fremont was the best.

Question: If you could have ANYONE in the world tweet you – who would you want?

Me: Fremont.
