I don’t have sisters, but these girls are pretty close…

Hello! How was your weekend? Did you run the Revel half or full marathon? RnR Las Vegas? Avengers Half at Disneyland?? There were so many races this weekend!!!! I loved checking Instagram and watching all the fun.

Yesterday I went to a small baby shower for one of my oldest friends. I went to a small Catholic school from 1st through 12th grade. There was a small group of girls I grew up with that did girls scouts, ballet folklorico, cheerleading and everything else together. We were inseparable for 12 years and so were our moms. They spent thousands of hours together while we had practices and competitions. Our moms still see each other periodically but my friends have gone separate ways a bit and haven’t seen each other in years.

Luckily,  Jen’s mom organized a small baby shower just for us to get together and celebrate with her. It was so good to see everyone and makes me wish we lived closer together to do this all the time. Even though it’s been so long, we’re like family and it felt like home <3

Me and my mom (feel sorry for her for having to deal with me bugging her and being very loud and teasing her all the time).

We met up at the Tranquil Tea Lounge in Fullerton. It was super cute and there were 89 tea options (give or take).

I had a sandwich / salad combo and mochi for dessert. Plus cookies.

We’re beyond blessed to have amazing mothers that kept us in check, gave us room to grow up, didn’t allow any mean girl-ness, sent us to good schools, taught us about God, cheered us on, punished  us, loved us and were great examples of smart, strong women.

When we walked out the sky was gorgeous. It was the perfect warm evening in SoCal.
